Hey anxiety, whose side are you on anyway?

“I can’t do it.”
“People don’t like me.”
“Everyone will laugh at me.”

Do those thoughts sound familiar?

Many people feel that way from time to time. Imagine you were on trial, as it were, and those thoughts were the evidence against you.

Would those thoughts stand up in court?

Are they 100% true beyond any reasonable doubt?

Or might the witnesses be exaggerating or even lying?

Cross-examine those thoughts like a lawyer would and there’s a good chance you’ll see the case needs to be thrown out of court. They are not reliable witnesses. Would an impartial jury believe those things about you? Advocate for yourself this way and let truth be the judge.
